Corporate Design with ci‑book™
The production of advertising and communication materials requires a high degree of flexibility and always within corporate design guidelines. Through the ci-book™ solution approach and the available applications, this flexibility can be achieved by segmenting templates and documents into their structural components, enabling publications in different formats and for different media.
You develop the print and online advertising materials for your communication measures. You can convert the associated templates into an Adobe™ InDesign™ package on your own or with the support of d-serv GmbH and then import them using the ci-book™ Template Transformer.
The ci-book™ Category Editor allows you to create categories or folder structures in which the imported templates and documents to be edited are made available according to navigation structures freely defined by you.
The ci-book™ Document Finder offers a sortable storage of provided templates or individualized documents. All users get a directory »My documents« and in case of a responsible role also the view on »All documents«.
With the ci-book™ Process Organizer, required workflows can be integrated and flexibly adapted. In addition, specific workflows can be defined for Adobe™ InDesign™ packages or resulting templates and documents based on them.
The ci-book™ Universal Editor has two different, rights-dependent modes of operation: In »Edit Mode«, users can edit text and completely replace images, if allowed; in »Design Mode«, they can also adjust design specifications and numerous document properties.
With the ci-book™ Asset Manager, internal or external data sources for various file formats can be integrated. Images managed there can, for example, either be selected in the Universal Editor or – if permitted – uploaded and exchanged directly.
In addition to PDF, the ci-book™ File Exporter can also generate JPG or PNG files including watermarks and export them individually or grouped as a ZIP file. Various options and standards can be set for the PDF and created accordingly via ci-book™ RenderEngine with access to the Adobe™ InDesign™ Server.
The ci-book™ Advertisment Provider enables the export or provision of online ads, whereby previously defined HTML templates or structured meta information – especially for job ads – can be used, which, for example, optimize the findability of the job ads for Google Job Search.
The ci-book™ Translation Manager allows you to import and export your texts in the XLIFF format most commonly used and standardized by translation service providers. In addition, the connection of a translation memory system is possible if required.
With the help of the ci-book™ Archive Presenter, in addition to the pure archiving function, it is also possible, for example, to specify which documents may continue to be processed or reused by authorized users after a production job has been completed.
The ci-book™ User Manager is used to create and manage individual users and required user groups with corresponding roles and rights. Alternatively, an existing, customer-specific user administration can be integrated, whereby this can only be implemented with the support of d-serv GmbH.
The ci-book™ Workflow Moderator groups a variety of integrated functions that, for example, inform all participants of a specific workflow about certain events via e-mail or allow to comment directly on individual documents.
Through the ci-book™ Activity Reporter, numerous activities can be recorded and analyzed in real time. The basic version (ci-book™ Tracking Viewer) offers a tabular listing and the extended version, the Activity Reporter, offers a graphical analysis including several export options for external processing.
The ci-book™ Vendor Pilot offers the possibility of including preferred (print) service providers in the production process by means of stored contact data and price lists; price lists can even be directly assigned to individual templates or resulting documents.
The ci-book™ Support Assistant provides various help functions and support services. In addition to the publicly accessible “Knowledge Base” and the customer-specific user manuals, the helpdesk or the support system of d-serv GmbH can be used.
